I Want to Have a Baby Girl - Gwyn's Dream

I came upon this story the other day about a couple living in the Midwest. Gwyn already had two sons and desperately desired to conceive one more time - but only if she got a daughter. She discovered a way to make her dream come true.

Gwyn grew up with several boisterous older brothers and a little sister, and when she married Joe, they agreed to have a big fun family of their own - girls and boys, all were welcome. But that changed when their second son had hemophilia and Gwyn turned out to be a carrier.

Hemophilia is an X-linked disorder, meaning that each pregnancy has a 25 % chance of delivering a son who has to live with this condition. Hemophilia must be well-managed to not overly impact the child's life. Environments and activities have to be carefully planned. Though treatable, hemophilia requires numerous trips to hospital.

Over time Gwyn became increasingly apprehensive about embarking on another pregnancy, fearing that a son could complicate their lives further. She caught herself expressing to relatives: "I want to have a baby girl so badly." Her family all said she should be satisfied with the children she has, but her heart could not come to terms with that idea.

So Gwyn decided to postpone her dream no longer. She looked for a way to make it happen by commencing a hunt for gender selection techniques. They were on a tight budget and Gwyn believed she 'd being required to save up for at least a year or two towards a medical intervention.

Then, alone at the computer one morning, Gwyn happened to be surfing the web, when her eye caught an article about natural gender selection. As she continued her research, Gwyn began to understand that it is possible to influence a baby's gender, by eating specific foods, picking the ideal time for intercourse, and choosing certain positions during lovemaking. She learned that sperm carrying the X chromosome are responsible for having a girl, but are slower than their Y counterparts. Different techniques are required if they are to successfully reach the egg for the conception of a baby girl.

After following a series of simple steps, Gwyn's earlier pained statement: "I want to have a baby girl," was replaced by joyful smiles when she delivered the cutest little girl. Today, Gwyn and Joe are overjoyed with their curly-haired toddler daughter, the direct result of implementing these and other nature-based techniques. Gone are the fears and apprehensions. Their family is complete.
